The Plate

This is what I eat. Simple food, mostly Mediterranean, tended to one meal at a time. I started keeping this record in May 2026, the month I first visited Portugal and learned to eat sardines properly. I haven’t stopped. Sometimes I drift from the plan. Drift is normal. It happens to everyone and one time or another. Drift does not require shame. It requires awareness.

 Dinner

Travel Day

Airplane food was awful. I didn’t eat much. After an 8 hour flight and 2 hours waiting for luggage, I ate 300 grams of my favorite cheese which had melted in my backpack on the 3 hour trip back to Baltimore in a series of traffic jams. This is what happens to normal people when the food environment makes it hard for them to take care of themselves. DRIFT is nothing to be ashamed of. It is normal. Begin where you are.
